I don't know about you, but my art is definitely effected by the seasons. I especially love spring when it comes to finding inspiration for color. As the colors start to burst around me, I find that my art is much brighter and lighter than it is in the fall and winter months. I usually have my little camera with me everywhere I go, so that I can snap something that has caught my attention. I tend to use it a lot this time of year.
When it comes to color though, like most, my attention is on all the rich, luscious colors that can be found in flowers. Sometimes that inspiration comes in the palette of a field of blooms. Other times, it could just be the boldness of one. No matter which it is, I can get dizzy with ideas!
I don't just find inspiration for color in flowers! I find butterflies quite inspiring as well. Do you know how many species of butterflies there are? Quite a few! While Monarch butterflies are the most common in my neck of the woods, I just love looking at pictures of interesting butterflies from other parts of the world. Some of them are quite exquisite.
It just happens to be hop day for Designer Crafts Blog Connection…so find the blinkie in my sidebar and click hop forward or hop back to see some fantastic spring inspired posts. Before you go…I would love to know…(ooh I made a rhyme!) … Where do you find your inspiration?
I wish you a wonderful spring!
